Vishal Gaurang Shah 

 

For many people in their late teens to their early 20s, life is an endless stream of social activities and leisurely pursuits.

There is certainly nothing wrong with that of course, and

such a lifestyle is to be expected from the typical young adult. But Vishal Gaurang Shah is not your ordinary, average young person, and ‘typical’ is not exactly a word that would apply to him. For although he has a healthy range of interests common among many of his age, Vishal is also a budding career professional who has already racked up an impressive string of accomplishments. For this extraordinary young man from Charlotte, North Carolina, life is something that you take by the horns and focus on with vigor and passion, and that is exactly what he has done.

 

Vishal Gaurang Shah is currently a student at North Carolina State University’s Poole College of Management in Raleigh. He is majoring in Business Administration-Finance and minors in Economics, in preparation for the career path that he has chosen for himself. Even at his young age, Vishal already has his sights set on a successful career in finance, and he hopes to be the lead consultant in a top financial services firm in the country in the future.

 

Aspiring for a head position in a prominent firm is one thing, but Vishal does more than just dream about the future. Even now, he has already applied a focused and methodical approach to achieving his goals by amassing a skillset that would make many people twice his age stand in awe. Among his impressive range of skills are statistical economic forecasting, financial mortgage consulting, and entrepreneurship, all of which he practices with equal capability and commitment. Gifted with superior cognitive abilities and a broad and eclectic range of intellectual knowledge, Vishal is clearly grooming himself for a successful and rewarding career.

 

Unlike most other people who are totally focused on their career, Vishal still finds time to devote to a healthy number of interests outside the professional field. A kind and caring young man with a genuine concern for others and a passion for giving back to the community, Vishal has worked as a volunteer at Carolinas Medical Center Main in Charlotte, where he was born in 1996. His primary responsibilities at the hospital included attending to the needs of patients, managing patient records, and assisting in hospital tasks whenever necessary. The work was grueling to be sure, and Vishal often found himself working at the hospital for many hours every day. Nevertheless, the joy and satisfaction that he derived from being of service to the community–and to the patients in particular–was more than enough reward for the aspiring young philanthropist.

 

Amazingly enough, Vishal has found time to devote to other leisurely pursuits as well. An avid basketball and soccer player, he is now equally passionate about deep-sea fishing and long distance running. He is currently in the midst of training for an upcoming marathon which will be held in his hometown, and he hopes to be the captain of his own fishing vessel someday.
